The Wonders of iMovie on the iPad 2

I'm now totally convinced of how wonderful iMovie on the iPad 2 is. It makes HD video capture, editing and uploading completely effortless.

Here are the steps I used to capture this movie from this past weekend's dog shows where my dog Cosmo was entered...

1. Capture the different dogs as they were shown.
2. Open iMovie on the iPad 2.
3. Double tap the different videos in the order that I wanted. They drop into the timeline.
4. Select the Theme that I wanted to use (primarily for the background music)
5. Upload to Youtube or Facebook.

Really, it's that easy! No complicated transfers, no complicated software to learn, no going to a different website or application in order to upload. It's all completely easy and all in one $4.99 app!

GoSkyWatch Planetarium App

I've just discovered this wonderful App for my iPad that I wanted to share. It's called GoSkyWatch Planetarium. http://www.gosoftworks.com/GoSkyWatch/GoSkyWatch.html

The interface is very clean and shows what looks like a planisphere, except, when you hold it up to the sky, you'll notice that the stars move exactly the same way you do! In fact, it's showing you exactly what you're seeing in the sky exactly where you have your iPad pointed. This is a revelation when you first use it. As you would guess, unpinching the screen brings you closer to the stars and pinching zooms you back out.

the best part about this software is that it is free. There's a paid version, but I'm not sure what it offers. I just wanted to let everyone know about the pinching part first!

Thanks,
Ambrose
